The Vox/Anso Ranae is named and designed for the Conventus Ranae*, a Danish brotherhood of elite frogmen. Frogmen (a.k.a. combat diver, combat swimmer) are trained soldiers who specialize in tactical operations underwater, from combat to search and rescue. With their grueling and dangerous job description in mind, world renowned knife designers Jens Anso and Jesper Voxnaes teamed up to bring us the Ranae. This knife is perfect for soldiers or civilians who often find themselves under water.
Features:
- Bohler N690 steel offers good edge retention and corrosion resistance.
- Double-edge dagger style blade perfect for tactical use.
- Full-tang construction adds strength.
- Low-density FRN handles aren’t a burden under water, and have great resistance to alkalinity (the ocean is slightly alkaline).
- Ambidextrous Kydex sheath will hold the knife securely in any position or orientation
*GiantMouse makes a donation of $20 for every unit sold to the brotherhood of Danish Frogman called the “Conventus Ranae.”
